Alan Bailey Memorial Vase
Yet another trophy has been donated to Denshaw Band Contest, and the committee are particularly
pleased to accept the Alan Bailey Memorial Vase from Alan’s grandson, Craig Beswick.
Ian Hague suggested that it would be fitting to remember Alan in this way and after securing the
approval of Alan’s family, Ian selected this lovely vase. The vase will be presented to the winners
of the Second Section prize at this year’s contest and brings the total number of trophies on offer
to eight. Craig Beswick is pictured presenting the vase to Carol Middleton, on behalf of the Band
Contest Committee, watched by Ian Hague.
