Denshaw is superbly situated, nestled into the low areas of the
Pennines but with easy access to the M62 (both Junctions 21 and 22 are less than a
10 minute drive away). Known locally as the Gateway to Saddleworth,
Denshaw is the first of the seven villages that make up the district of Saddleworth.
Part of the historic County of York but administratively governed, since the
1974 boundary changes, by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council.
Denshaw is a delightful place to live and has much to offer people locating to the Village,
as well as the many folk who enjoy visiting the area, possibly staying for a week or two,
or merely taking time to savour the lovely scenery or the rural shops which can be found
in all the villages. Both the Pennine Way and the Pennine Bridleway can be accessed from
within the village boundary.
If you hover over the turquoise circles on the map, the name of the venue will be revealed, and
then by clicking on the circle, you will be taken to further information about that particular property.
